Farewell Lecture

UZH professors leaving the University because they have reached retirement age have the option of giving a farewell lecture. These lectures offer a lovely opportunity to gather together friends and colleagues, and to look back at the years spent with the University.

Organization

Farewell lectures are just as individual in their form as the many professors within UZH itself. They range from a modest few words as part of the final regular lecture, to a separate event that may or may not be accompanied by a drinks reception. There are no fixed rules.

A farewell lecture will generally be organized by the institute or department to which the professor belongs. The first priority is to set a date and to reserve the required venue, as well as the reception space if necessary. Please contact Room Allocation Services.
