Inaugural Lecture

The University appoints professors with outstanding academic and teaching backgrounds. As they begin their teaching and research work, new appointees are invited to hold an inaugural lecture. These inaugural lectures mark a milestone in their academic careers and provide a significant opportunity to present their field of expertise to all interested parties. The events promote professional exchange and networking within the university. They contribute to showcasing and acknowledging the diversity of research and teaching at the UZH.

The organization of inaugural lectures is overseen by the UZH President’s Services. Newly appointed professors will be contacted in due course with a scheduling survey.
