UZH Card

The UZH Card is the identity card for UZH employees. It has the following functions:

• ID card throughout the University
• Electronic access to buildings and facilities
• Pass/ID card for the libraries
• Pass for special prices in the cafeterias
• Print, copy and scan at UZH multifunction devices: UZH Print plus
• Entitlement to participate in the ASVZ sports program (membership fee applies)

What To Do

Normally, the month before you start work, Student Services will send you an application form that you must complete and return along with a recent photo. Your personal UZH Card will then be delivered by post to your private address within two to three weeks.

If you have not received the application form, please contact the UZH Card Office directly.

Please Note

When you receive your card, please validate it at one of the validation points (it otherwise remains invalid), and sign it on the reverse.

Once validated, the UZH Card remains valid for staff for one year, after which it must be re-validated annually.
